Years Iranian Poster

The
Poster Festival in Cracow, Poland is an annual gathering and poster
competition initiated by Krzysztof Dydo who is well known for his
poster gallery, collection, and many publications and exhibitions
on polish posters. It was held this year from December 6, 2002 in
Palace of Art. In this ancient, royal and beautiful city located
about 300 km south of Warsaw.
This competition is a unique opportunity for the younger designers
to get recognized and measure up. This of course gives us an opportunity
to get an overview of how the Polish posters will be in future.
This event showed 420 posters including 70 posters made for a competition
for poster promoting Poland in the EU countries. They were posters
from all over Poland. As accompanying, the exhibition had the follwing
events:
Old tourism posters from Poland since 1910 to 1960, Jazz posters,
Sebastian Kubica posters, Roman Kalarus posters - all shows made
in the different places of the center of Cracow .
The special foreign category at the festival was an exhibition of
Iranian Posters in the Gallery of Fine Arts Academy of Cracow:
Krzysztof Dydo the manager of Poster Gallery in Cracow organized
this exhbition. They were 50 posters by 16 Iranian graphic designers
done in last 35 years and all of the designers of “the 5th
Color” participated very active. After "Un cri persan",
an exhibition of Iranian graphic designers in the Month of Graphic
Design in Echirolles, which is one of the most important events
in the world.
