Antone Beeke wrote in Area book: “ In Meskhi’s work one sees, apart
from a few obvious Western influences, a personality formed outside
the reach of the Dutch, the Polish, the Swiss, and the American
designers that have defined the trade of graphic design worldwide.
His subjects are painterly. Some look like they were made a thousand
years ago and just excavated; others seem to be sampled from
abandoned scraps, left next to the copying machine; and sometimes
they look like watercolors. Apart from being poetic, Meshki’s work
is also of its time.”
