Warhol Award for Majid Abbasi in 6th Trnava Poster Triennial 2006
The opening ceremony and the awarding of prizes of the 6th Trnava
Poster Triennial 2006 on September 13th 2006 at 5 p.m. at the Jan
Palarik Theatre, Trnava. Majid Abbasi won Andy Warhol Award (Grand
Prix) for his poster
“Bam, The everlasting heritage”.
Mehdi Saeedi also won award of the president of the self-governing
region of Trnava.
Trnava Poster Triennial is hosted at and is being organised by the
Jan Koniarek Gallery in Trnava, in collaboration with the Slovak
Design Centre in Bratislava, the Trnava City Council, the Academy of
Fine Arts & Design in Bratislava and the Civic Association Poster.
The international community of graphic designers is invited to
submit work created between February 2003 and 15 March 2006.
“Bam, The everlasting heritage” also won Jury Award of the second
China International Poster Biennial in 2005.
