Three
awards for Iranian designers in Mexico and Mons
The winners of the 8th International Poster Biennale of Mexico
2004 were announced by Xavier Bermudez, Director of the Biennale,
on October 25, at the Museo Franz Mayer in Mexico City. Reza
Abedini
won the first prize in Category A (Cultural posters) and Tahamtan
Aminian won the Honorable Mention in Category B (Social posters).
The Jury of the Biennale consisting of the following members: Alessandra
Migani, Brazil; Bojidar Ikonomov, Bulgaria; Carlos Palleiro, Uruguay;
David Consuegra, Columbia; Julian Naranjo Donoso, Chili; Pablo Kunst.
Argentina; Patricia Hordoņez, Mexico; Taappani Aartoma, Finland.

The jury of the 9th Triennial of Political Posters in Mons 2004
met
early 2004 in Mons, and selected 143 from 955 posters submitted
by designers from 46 countries. The award ceremony took place at
the Mundaneum in Mons on October 14, 2004. Ebrahim
Haghighi won the Honorable Mention for his poster "All men are
equal" in the 9th Triennial of Political Posters in Mons 2004 (Belgium).
Alejandro Magallanes
won the first prize of the competition for his
poster "Detras de la fantasia americana"
