for the best work in The Czech Republic 2002 for Saed Meshki (May
2003)
Saed
Meshki was awarded the prize 'Pearl of Czech Design' given early
by the Association of Applied Graphic and Graphic Design (AUG),
Prague for his poster at the 'Solidarity International Poster Exhibition'
from the category of best works of graphic design presented in the
Czech Republic.
Karel Misek, graphic designer, was the president of AUG and the
organizer of Solidarity in 2002. He wrote: "The artists are
professionals as well as students from all around the globe. All
the posters exhibited, have been made specifically for this event.
The posters for the "Solidarity exhibition" have traveled
in the same way as international assistance for the Czech Republic
at the time of floods. In addition to the Czech artists, the senders
come from Hungary, Germany, Poland, France, United Kingdom, Yugoslavia,
Slovenia, Italy, Ukraine, Finland, Greece, Russia, Iran, Turkey,
Japan, China, Korea, USA and Mexico
