Winners of the 8th Tehran International Poster Biennial in Tehran
The winners of the 8th Tehran International Poster Biennial in Tehran
were announced by the jury of the biennial headed by B. Martin Pedersen
from the United States in the amphitheater of The Museum of Contemporary
Art in Tehran on February 16 and the results are:
- First prize (6000
Euro): Reza Alavi for "New flag of Iraq", 2003
- Second prize (4000
Euro): Anette Lenz & Vincent Perrotte for " Theatre d'Angouleme",
2003
- Third prizes (2000
Euro): Parisa Tashakori for " Let's create a blue sky for our children",
2002 and Firouz
Shafei for "The 100th anniversary of Sadeq Hedayat's birthday",
2002
Two
other important awards were also announced by ICOGRADA representative,
Guy Schokeart. The Life Time's Achievment Award was given to Morteza
Momayez for his relentless pursuit, non-stop attempts and for his
prominent role in education and leading the contemporary graphic
design in Iran.
- The Icograda achievement award is granted in recognition of a

The
excellent award was also given to a young graphic designer, Tahmtan
Aminian for his poster "...and our world is still alive", 2003
